This way to the chat directly on KeepTalking.de

Keep Talking is a small community for communication and is maintained by a little group of idealists. Since 29/11/2003 there exists a channel BookCrossers, where regulary German BookCrossers meet, not only to talk about books. Of course, English speaking people are always welcome (as other languages too ;)

There are a few possibilities to enter this chat - each of them has advantages and disadvantages.

1. directly from their webpage: www.keeptalking.de
On the main page, you will find a link at your left for the English version of keeptalking. Then you can login: just enter your screenname. You don't have to register, although by registering, you can "protect" your screenname on keeptalking.
After the login, you get a menu where you will find "chat". Then you have to select "Deutsch" in the channellist, where you will find the channel "BookCrossers".
advantage: You are directly at the website of the community, so you can register your screenname and you have more functionality.
disadvantage: Well, I don't see one ;-)

2. by using the Chatwindow on this support site
advantage: You will be directly at the right place :-)
disadvantage: You have to enable java-script, whitout it won't function.

For both you must have installed Java, because this chat is based on Java. If you don't want to install Java (use google to get the Java Runtime Editon of Sun(tm)), you still can access the chat by using a client:

3. using a client, like f.e. Yamax: download, install, connect and choose the channel: BookCrossers.
advantage: you are directly connected with the keeptalking community, have more functionality as under option 1. and you don't need to bother with Java.
disadvantage: finally... none too... ;-)
